July 19, 2023 Municipalities of Anchorage On-Site Water & Wastewater Program 4700 Elmore Road Anchorage, AK 99507 RE: SEPTIC SYSTEM UPGRADE PERMIT LEGAL: T12N R3W SEC 33 LOT 234 The property owner has requested we obtain a permit to upgrade the apparent failed septic system and well of the above referenced lot. The existing house was remodeled and any existing well and septic system will be properly decommissioned or abandoned per code at construction. We propose to install one shallow pressurized bed and an anchored 1500-gallon epoxy steel septic STEP tank to serve the 3-bedroom residence. We respectfully request only paying for the MOA rush fee for the septic portion of this permit. The design is based on the recent test hole conducted in June, 2023 by Mike N. Anderson, PE. Groundwater was observed at test hole excavation and monitoring. We also authorize Mike N . Anderson, PE to make needed adjustments to the design per his signature. The slopes are moderate at 3-8% at the proposed upgrade location. The lot and area are served by private water. No adjacent well or septic systems are within 200’ of the proposed water and wastewater systems. The design will not impact any of the neighboring properties.
