Box 196650 Anchorage, AK 99519-6650 Subject: Public Sewer Line to Well Separation Waiver– BURLWOOD TERRACE BLK 4 LOT 1 In the process of obtaining a COSA for the sale of this property we have established the separation distance between the public sewer line in Lynn Dr. well on this lot to be 45 feet. We are requesting a waiver be issued for the public sewer line well of 45 feet. The private well on this lot was drilled and completed on August 26, 1962, seven years prior to the sewer line. We have contacted AWWU Field Services for information on the sewer line constructed in Lynn Drive in 1969 and as-built Sept. 29, 1969. AWWU cannot produce any information showing that they received a waiver from this well during the project. The water samples on 7/13/23 show nitrates and Coliform bacteria as non- detectable. The existing topography of the site slopes away from the well casing which has been raised to 3’above grade. The public sewer line is 8” A.C. piping buried approximately 17’ below grade in this area. The original well log shows “Yellow till gravel” in the top 37’ of soil with gray clay-gravel and yellow clay-gravel layers between 83’ to 102’ with a total well depth of 106 feet. We do not expect there to be any adverse effects to the existing well or this septic system operations in the existing location.
