b. Covered, sealed, and heated to prevent freezing

To Whom it may concern:
This is a request for a COSA on the above referenced lot, which is undocumented. The existing system appears to have been originally installed in the mid 1990’s but the tank was upgraded in the last year, per the owner. Two test holes were excavated and found 18 & 16 feet of poorly graded sands and gravels (SP/GP) to the bottom of the test holes. No water was observed during the excavation or after the 7-day monitoring period. The existing trench had five feet of effective in the existing trench. The tank consisted of a 1500 gallon plastic tank from Greer Tank with the standard 20 inch riser. The leach field was dry prior to the test, then raised four inches during the test.
The well was investigated by Hefty Drilling and found the static level at 101 feet. The flow rate was measured at greater than 5 gpm and the casing was verified greater than 50 feet, see note from Hefty Drilling
This septic system and well will not impact any of the surrounding neighbors due to the excellent soils and very large lots.
