BACKGROUND
All Points North LLC is providing civil engineering and land surveying services to the owners of Lot 8, U.S.
Survey Number 3042. The owners goal is to subdivide their land into 4 residential lots. The subdivision
name will be Alaska Cedar Subdivision. The lot is Located along northerly side Hottentot Mine Road
between the Alyeska Highway and Sproat Roads, Girdwood Alaska. This aquifer study is made for the
purpose of reasonably assessing if adequate onsite water is available for the 4 lots, namely by having
four individual new wells. The property information is as follows:
Subdivision Project #512648
Tax Account: 075-092-39-000
Zone: GR1 (Girdwood Residential)
Grid: SE 4913
Drain Map: SE 5013
Current Use: Vacant Land
APPLICABLE DESIGN STANDARDS:
The following well location standards are required and/or recommended for well feasibility and
maintenance:
25' Well to Sewer Lateral (MOA Required)
75' Well to Sewer Main Line, and other sources of polution (MOA (Required)
-- - 100' Well to Sewer Manhole (MOA Required)
10' Water Well to Property line (Recommended by APN / DEC for easy maintenance)
Maintainable location, away from other ug utilities and easements (APN Recommended)
The following well production needs are estimated and assumed.
Assuming every new residence is a 3 bedroom, with two persons a day each using 75
gallons/day, 450 gallons per day would be needed, or 0.315 gallons per minute continuous.
Note this doesn't account for peak usage that occurs typically during several hours in the
morning and evening. Assuming daily usage occurs over 3 hours a day -> 24hrs/3hrs*0.315 =
-i2.5 gallons a minute minimum recommended for no in-house storage tank.
PROVIDED WITH THIS SITE
On the attached map, with all the above listed setbacks applied, there exists enough space for four
required well locations, one on each lot. No shared wells are required.
From the neighboring well logs of other U.S. Survey 3042 Lots, the following is known:
Lot
Well Depth
Well Production
Lot 7a

6.3 gpm
Lot 7b

CONCLUSION
Alaska Cedar Subdivision, as proposed, allows adequate space for 4 new wells. Furthermore, the wells
should have adequate aquifer production to allow 3 bedroom residences. Please contact me should
additional information be needed.
Sincerely,
Max A. Schillinger; PLS, PE, 9-15-2021

Deb,
Awwu says both 9a and 9b have muni sewer service, no septic fields to worry about. Please feel free to mark the map
that fact as you see fit.
