Subject:12606 Iris Way Date:Tuesday, October 7, 2025 7:11:14 AM [EXTERNAL EMAIL] To Whom it May Concern, Jeremy Johnson, and myself, Kimberly Rydberg purchased Schroeder Lot 56 (12606 Iris Way) on October 16, 2023. Sometime in February 2024 we noticed that we weren’t being billed for sewer services through AWWU. After extensive research and investigation, it was confirmed that we were still hooked up to an old septic tank. The septic tank was located in the ground under the walls of our large shop and as such would need to be decommissioned in place. We couldn’t do any work on the situation until litigation with the old owners was completed, so nothing was done until spring of 2025. The week of May 23-29th 2025, Jordan Anderson with “Anderson Contracting and Environmental Septic LLC” pulled permits with the city and hooked us up to an existing riser on the NE corner of our property. On June 9th, 2025, “Extreme Heating and Air, Inc” came and re-routed our main plumbing line to hook it up to the septic pipe installed by Anderson Contracting. They cut the old pipe off at ground level and capped it to avoid fumes, etc. AWWU has since adjusted our monthly bill to include both water and sewer services. On October 3, we dug a large access hole inside the shop and located the septic tank. An opening was cut into the tank lid to access both sides of the baffle. On October 6, Sean Dolan with “Sanitary Pumpers” came and removed approximately 800-1000 pounds of waste and water, etc from the tank. That same day, 4 cubic yards of flowable fill was poured into the empty tank by “Klondike Concrete”. The fill line came to 1 inch above the top of the tank. The existing dirt hole was refilled and compacted. If there is anything further you need in regards to this situation, please contact me at (907)764-3277.
