The attached approved design. 2. All requirements specified in Anchorage Municipal code Chapters 15.55 and 15.65 and the State of Alaska Wastewater Disposal Regulations (18AAC72) and Drinking Water Regulations (18AAC80) 3. The wastewater code requires inspections during the installation. The engineer shall notify the Development Services Department per AMC 15.65. Provide notification by calling (907) 343-7904 (24/7). 4. From October 15 to April 15, a subsurface soil absorption system under construction during freezing weather shall be either: a. Opened and Closed on the same day, or b. Covered, sealed, and heated to prevent freezing 3 Special Provisions: This is an emergency tank and field permit application. The application is not complete. These provisions summarize what is to be submitted still. If the assumptions the design was based on are discovered to be incorrect, a change order is to be sought from the department and work is to cease until change order is approved. 1. 7 day groundwater monitoring is required. Construction may proceed at your own risk before the 7 day water monitoring is complete. Please submit stamped and signed results with the As -built Inspection Report. If the results require a design change, construction of the system will stop pending On -Site review and approval. 2. This design is based on the assumption that the soil is not GW or GP. It has been verified the line has been crushed and non-functioning & per AWWU the property cannot be connected to sewer. Therefore, the property owner has requested we obtain a new septic permit for the above referenced lot. This is an emergency since the owner’s cannot use the facilities and are having to use a temporary porta potty & we request permit issuance ASAP. Attached is the not to scale as-built survey and one is being completed. We are also in the process of ground water monitoring & a sieve analysis is pending. We propose to install a 1500- gallon tank for current use and future flexibility (i.e. – An Advantex AX20 Pod if needed) and a shallow trench to serve the 3 -bedroom residence. The design is based on the attached test hole conducted this week. Groundwater was observed at 2-day monitoring & we’ll be measured 7+ days before any absorption field install. The property and area are served by public water as noted on the design. The slopes are flat at the proposed upgrade location. The design will not impact any of the neighboring properties.
