We are therefore submitting this permit application for the construction of a new well and septic system. The attached site plan identifies the proposed home, well, septic system location, and alternate site. No conflicts exist between this proposed system and any existing well or septic system on this lot or adjacent lots. The ground surface on the lot is fairly flat. There are no slopes greater than 25% within 50 feet downslope of either the primary or alternate site. Existing contours are shown on the site plan indicating the grade and drainage direction. Stormwater drainage is not expected to impact the proposed septic system. The absorption trench will be constructed parallel to the slope as much as practical. Wells on this and adjacent lots are shown on the site plan. The proposed system will maintain a minimum 100-foot separation from all wells and surface water. The septic tank will maintain a minimum 5-foot separation from the absorption system, and the alternate site is located more than 6 feet away. Please refer to the attached test hole log and plan/profile sheets for additional septic design information. If constructed as designed, the proposed system is not expected to adversely impact adjacent properties.
