A test hole was excavated, see the site plan, which found poorly graded sands (more than 50%) and gravels (SP) for the entire 18 foot depth with no water, typical for the area. A perc test has not been completed but will be today. Visually it will be faster than 5 minutes per inch. A application rate of 1 GPD/SF has been used for this CO. Due to the limited area we are proposing to install the new gravity flow system close to the undocumented system, see site plan. The old 1983 system will be removed and backfilled with sand. Brent Western with FWCS has asked me to submit this CO due to his very busy schedule to keep the job moving. The community water line has been located on the north side of the property, see site plan. We also are requesting a 5 foot lot live waiver for the west property line to make access for the new trench. This change order and waiver will not impact any of the surrounding neighbors. We propose to install one deep trench and 1250-gallon STEP tank to serve the existing 3-bedroom property. The design is based on a conservative application rate and per area soils. A verification test hole will be conducted prior to construction. No groundwater was observed in area testhole groundwater monitoring. The slopes are flat at the proposed upgrade location. The lot and adjacent lots are served by a Class C private water well located on the adjacent Lot 24 and the waterline serving the residence was located along the southern property line as shown on the attached design.
