Mrs. Meyer has installed flow restrictors in the shower heads. Laundry facilities have been removed and the laundry connections for the water and sewer have been permanently capped. Well production was 19% below Municipal standards (refer to May 10, 1984 HAA application and well yield test) and we feel that these modifications should adequately reduce demand. OF HEALTH & ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION Municipality of Anchorage MAY 111984 Department of Health & Environmental Protection RECEIVED 825 "L" Street Anchorage, AK 99501 Re: Ingrid Meyer, Health Authority Approval (HAA) Application; Lot 16, Block 3, Scimitar Subdivision Dear Sir, During the period from May 3 to May 8, 1984 we performed research, investigations and testing persuant to Health Authority Approval on the above referenced lot. We performed a flow test on the well and found the output to be 0.25 gallons per minute (gpm). This flow rate is less than the 0.31 gpm required for a 3 bedroom house. During the test we f�uthat the flow rate steadily decreased as the well Baas d awn down, and after 4.5 hours the flow stabilized at 0.25 gp . The well is 400 feet deep and it appears that f ow sta ilized at the head capacity of the pump. (Refer to to field Test, attached). It is possible that a pump with additional head capacity could draw the well down further and increase well production. We also took a water sample for bacteriological analysis and results were negative (Refer to Chemical & Geological Laboratory Analytical Report, attached). We performed an adequacy test on the septic system and we found that the absorption trench dissipated water at approximately 8 gpm.
