According to the 1981 design, the original septic system was supposed to be an 18'x18' seepage pit with an effective depth of 6'. According to the 1981 inspection report, an 18' trench with 6' effective depth was installed. The absorption area was ` incorrectly stated to be 420 sq. ft. An adequacy test was performed on the trench. The sump extends 54" into the 72" effective depth. Over the course of 185 minutes, 790 gallons were introduced into the system. Measured liquid levels dissipated within 10 minutes of the water being shut off. According to our calculations, the drainfield absorbed at least 590 gallons in this time period. Base upon the performance of the system during our adequacy test and the previous MOA approval, we request that you approve this system in it's current condition.
