The owner of the above referenced lot obtained a permit from your department on
November 18, 1992, and had a system installed in October of 1993. He is now in the
process of obtaining a building permit, and is unable to obtain the permit because he
needs either a current permit from your office, or a stamped as -built report. This presents
a bit of a dilemma, because I am unable to provide a complete as -built without having a
building foundation to provide a basis for horizontal & vertical reference.
I talked to Laura on Friday, and we concluded that the best solution might be for me to
submit a preliminary as -built now, and a final as -built as soon as enough of the building is
completed to tie the as -built to some permanent reference points.
Attached please find the preliminary as -built. Please contact me at 562-1500 if there are
any problems with this arrangement, or if you have any questions.

Dear Sirs:
Re: Sly Fox Subdivision, Lot 2
The purpose of this letter is to provide the required design
narrative in support of our application for a permit to install a
well and septic system on the above referenced lot. Attached for
your reference Eire the soils log, percolation test results, a
site plan, and design drawings.
The owner intends to build a 3 bedroom single family home on the
lot. We have performed a soils log and percolation testing at
the location indicated on the design drawing. The resultant
percolation rate was 7.7 min/inch. No groundwater was
encountered, and the monitoring tube was dry at the conclusion of
the monitoring period. A trench -type drainfield design was
chosen.
An application rate of .8 GPD/SF was used. The house has three
bedrooms, and the required absorption area is 3 X 150 / .8 = 562!/
SF. We have elected to -use- a trench length of. 47 FT, and a
gravel depth of 6 FT. otal system depth is not to exceed 9_F_T.. .T, (I
4 nom,
The topography of the lot is detailed on the attached site plan.c''`%"'
Note that a marshy area exists to the west of the proposed house,
and the drainfield layout is intended to keep the proposed
facilities at least 100 FT from the marsh and the stream to the
north.
Please contact me at 562-1500
if you will need any additional
information.
Sincerely,
MOUNTAIN ENGINEERING
