Enclosed with this report is the following: Test Hole Location Sketch Figure 1 Test Hole Logs Table A Grain Size Distribution Curves Sheets 1 - 4 e Standard Explanatory information Appendix A The exploration was conducted in two phases. Phase 1 was on' Monday, August 4, 1975, and consisted of placing test holes #1 and #2, both to a depth of 21.5 feet. Phase 2 commenced on Monday, August 11, 1975, and was completed on Wednesday, August 13, 19'75, and consisted of test holes #3 through #9, ranging in depth from 21.5 to 26.5 feet. Dr Aling was accomplished using a Mobile Drill B•50 truck mounted drill rig, utilizing a hollow stem, continuous flight auger, owned and operated by Denali Drilling, Inc. The drilling was supervised and the test holes logged by Mr. O.M. Hatch, senior technician/staff geologist, assisted by Mr. Alan Martz, staff technician, both of Alaska Testlab. Sampling consisted of some 38 "disturbed" samples retreived - using a 2" diameter split spoon sampler advanced 18" under the weight of a 140 pound hammer, free falling 30". The number ofblowsrequired to drive the sampler each 6" interval are recorded on the test hole logs. The samples were placed in sealed plastic bags to retain their natural moisture content until' transported to the laboratory. Once in the laboratory, .
