Vicinity Man: Shows approximate location of wells and septic system for adjacent lots. There are no systems within 200 feet of the proposed system. 2. Site Plan: Shows the proposed location for 4 -bedroom house, tack/shop building, well, on-site disposal system, reserve area, location of percolation test holes and test pit. The site is heavily wooded, with a ravine and drainage channel along the east property line. Lot 8 generally slopes at 6-8% in a southern direction, while Lot 9 slopes at 10% in a south, southwestern direction. There was no wetland or surface water observed except the drainage along the east side. 3. Design of On-site Wastewater Disposal System: The design utilizes the MOA Typical Wide Drainfield requirements. Trenches will be 5 -feet wide, 58 -feet long, with 1 -foot of drain rock below the perforated pipe. The septic tank will be 1,500 gallons. 4. Soil. Percolation. and Water Table tests: On 5/17/03, a test pit was dug to a depth of 12 feet, the limits of the backhoe. Under a thin organic layer was a 2 -Coot layer of loose -medium dense brown silty sand and gravel (SM), followed by medium dense gray silty sand, with gravel and cobbles (SM). No ground water or bedrock was encountered. A 4 -inch perforated pipe was installed to monitor the water table. On 5/25/03, the depth of water was measured at 10.8 -feet below ground surface. It was measured again on 6/30/03 and was found to be dry. Two percolation holes were dug into the gray silty sand layer on 5/17/03 and soaked for 4 hours. Falling head percolation tests were performed on 5/18/03 in accordance with the MOA procedures. Percolation rates of 21.8 min/in and 26.7 min/in were obtained. 5. MOA Tunical Wide Drainfield Requirements and Specifications The proposed on-site wastewater disposal system will not impact the adjacent properties, and meets all the requirements for a MOA On-site Wastewater Permit.
