The proposed well sites have been selected to achieve a separation distance of greater than 100 feet from any public sewer line or manhole, and to maintain a separation distance of greater than 25 feet from their private sewer service lines. The proposed project will have no significant impact on present or future water supply and wastewater disposal systems serving adjacent properties, nor will it have any significant impact on reserved space -surface and subsurface, or on drainage. This inspection revealed an arsenic concentration of 14.2 micrograms per liter (ug/L) for the property's well water sample. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has established a maximum contaminant level (MCL) of 10.0 ug/L for public drinking water systems. While private wells are not subject to this regulation, EPA standards are based on existing health information and can therefore be used to gauge the relative quality of water from private wells.
