3. The engineer must notify DSD at least 2 hours prior to each inspection. Provide notification by calling
(907) 343-7904 ( 24 hours ). ( Not required for a Water Supply Permit only).
4. From October 15 to April 15, a subsurface soil absorption system under construction during freezing weather
must be either: A. Open and closed on the same day.
B. Covered, seated, and heated to prevent freezing.

RE: Proposed Well and Septic Design
Lot 11, McCready Meadows Subdivision
To Whom It May Concern:
The proposed 3 bedroom house will be served by a private well and an on-site septic system. Two test holes were
excavated on the subject property during the development phase of this subdivision. A copy of these test hole logs
have been attached for your review. Both the primary and the reserve drainfields have been designed around the 30
foot radii of these test holes. Additionally, the soils will be visually classified during construction to ensure that they are
consistent with the attached test hole logs. We are proposing the installation of a 1,000 gallon septic tank and 2 each,
3 foot wide x 30 foot long drainfield trenches to meet the wastewater disposal requirements of the proposed structure.
Comments regarding this design are summarized as follows:
Soils
See attached soils log which details soil classifications, groundwater observations and percolation rates.
Drainfield Deslan
See attached design drawings for drainfield sizing calculations.
Surface Waters
There are no adjacent surface waters within 100 feet of the proposed well and septic Improvements.
Topoarsift
The subject lot has a level ridge running north/south approximately through the core of the lot There are steep slopes
of 46% to the west and 32% to the east of the proposed home site and septic system area. The septic system design
has taken into account the required 50 -foot setback from slopes steeper than 25% for both the proposed primary and
reserve drainfields. Additionally, during construction, the setbacks will be confirmed and if necessary, filling and
grading will occur to meet the setback requirements. The proposed construction will not alter or impede the lots
natural drainage patterns.
Groundwater and Bedrock
No groundwater or bedrock were observed at any Ume during the original test hole excavations.
Closing
The development of this property will not preclude the adjacent properties capacity to construct future wastewater
systems. I am unaware of any adverse Impacts this Installation would have on any existing adjacent wells or septic
