Box 196650 Anchorage, Alaska 99519 Subject: Lot 3 Indian Valley S/D, Addition No. 1 Well and Septic System Permit Request Ladies and Gentlemen: I am writing to request a permit to construct new well and septic system be issued for this property. The proposed systems will serve a proposed four-bedroom house. The house will sit on Lot 3 along with the well and the septic. The proposed well will be constructed in the northwestern corner of lot 3. 1. Soils. See the attached soils log. Ground water was monitored for over seven days Ground water was measured in the monitor at the end of the monitoring period at a depth of 12 feet. Bedrock was not encountered in the test hole. It is my opinion that the overall soils appearance of the soils, an application rate of 1.2 gallons/day/square feet should be used using a conventional treatment system. 2. Trench Design. a. Topography: The average topography in the area of the proposed septic system is approximately rive to ten percent in the area of the SAS. 5. Future Upgrade Area: I am proposing that both the primary and reserve fields be installed at this time. A new 12500 gallon septic tank will be installed outside the 100 - foot well radius. I have shown the proposed location on the site plan. The proposed installation will not affect the future development of the surrounding or existing lots. There are no wells or septic systems within 100 feet of the proposed well location or of the proposed septic location.
