South Fork Construction LLC, installed a curtain drain on the above mentioned property. 1. All portions of the curtain drain are 10+ feet from the existing drainfield. 2. The downhill side of the drain has an impermeable barrier - 6 mil reinforced visqueen. 3. All piping is D3034 PVC pipe. 4. All piping under the driveway is insulated with 4 inch by 4 feet wide insulation. 5. The depth of curtain drain below bottom of drainrock in drainfield varies. 6. The perforated pipe to solid pipe is located at the bottom of slope. If we can be of further assistance, please let us know. Box 196650 Anchorage, AK 99519 Re: Sun Valley Block 3 Lot 7 Narrative & Permit Application Dear Mr. Roth: The proposed well and septic permit will have very limited impact on adjacent properties for the following reasons: 1. This permit is for a new well and septic system. 2. Immediate neighboring septic systems are all +100' distance from proposed well location, and wells are all located +100' from the designed septic location. 3. Drainage will not be affected and is not a major consideration in our design. 4. Impact on reserve areas will be minimal, as lot sizes are large, leaving sufficient room for primary and reserve leachfield sites. This is a new well and septic plan for an undeveloped lot. The homeowner wishes to construct a 3 bedroom house and then remodel it in the future to accommodate 5 bedrooms. Septic system has been designed for 5 bedrooms. Due to the terrain and groundwater constraints on this lot, we are requesting that the end of the reserve leachfield drainfield be constructed at 35' from a slope in excess of 25%. This slope is heavily vegetated, with a good topsoil cover, which would likely prevent effluent from daylighting along this slope. This work will not affect the reserve area on adjacent lots.
