Box 196650 Anchorage, AK 99519-6650 RE: Bruin Park Blk 2 Lot 6A Well & Septic System Permit Application To Whom It May Concern: Attached please find the application and supporting documentation to drill a well and install a septic system for a proposed 3 bedroom house on the subject lot. The proposed design is based upon test holes dug on December 1, 2004. The primary drainfield will be located around Test Hole #2, and the reserve site around Test Hole #1. Test hole #2 was dug to 14 ft with no water encountered during digging or after 7 days of monitoring. The proposed drainfield will be installed in two strata: 1) a sand between 1 ft and 3 ft, and 2) a silt layer between 3 ft and 5 ft. Percolation tests were conducted in both strata, with a rate of 1.7 minfinch in the sand and 15 min/inch in the silt. An average application rate of 0.9 gpd1W is used in the design. Test Hole #1 had similar soils and percolation test results, proving up the reserve drainfield site. The soil logs are attached.
