Septic System Design and Permit Application
Impacts to Adjacent Properties
Dear Onsite Services Engineer:
The owner of Lot 19, Block 8, The Tablelands Subdivision intends to construct a four-
bedroom home on the lot. Groundwater and soil conditions in the area are such that
we are proposing to install an Advantex Septic Treatment System for a four-bedroom
home on the property. The attached Site Plan and backup documentation identify the
location and configuration of the new septic system and alternate site and the
parameters used in the design. Also identified on the plans are the location of the
surface drainage, test holes and water service on the lot. The system will not conflict
with those on the surrounding lots. Drainage arrows and spot elevations are shown
indicating the current drainage patterns. The drainage patterns will be maintained after
construction.
The test holes placed on this lot revealed silty sand with some gravel. The percolation
rate in the material ranged from 40 minutes to 60 minutes per inch. Groundwater was
recently noted at 6' below the surface. We are therefore proposing to place a four-
bedroom Advantex Treatment System. The terrain of the lot is such that gravity flow
from the filter to the absorption trenches is not possible and a second lift station will be
required. The absorption trenches will each be 60' long x 5' wide x 1' effective depth for
a total absorption area of 600 square feet. The trenches will be constructed at the
existing ground level with a total depth of 1'. A minimum of 3' of cover will be placed
atop the trenches and 4' of cover over the septic tank.
The ground surface on the lot slopes as shown on the site plan from southwest to
northeast at shallow slopes. The absorption trenches will be constructed parallel with
the slope as much as possible in conformance with Municipal requirements. All

components of the new septic system will be constructed a minimum of 100' from any
surface water and 10' from the water service on this and adjacent lots.
If the system is constructed in accordance with our design the following statements
apply:
The system, if constructed as designed, will have no adverse impact on the wells
in the area or those to be constructed in the future.
2. The system, if constructed as designed, will have no adverse impact on existing
septic systems in the area or those to be constructed in the future.
3. The system, if constructed as designed, will have no adverse impact on reserve
space, either surface or subsurface, on any lots located in the area.
4. The system, if constructed as designed, will have no adverse impact on drainage
patterns in the area. The current drainage pattern will be maintained.
Sincerely,
Michael E. Anderson, P.E.

Engineer's Comments:
In conducting this evaluation, GEG, UD. attempted to provide a thorough,
conscientious engineering analysis of the system in accordance with ADEC and MOA
DSD Guidelines & Regulations. The reported results described the performance of the
system under the conditions encountered at the time of the test, and separation
distances measured to readily identifiable features. The operational life of all wells and
septic systems depend on the local soils condition, groundwater levels that may
fluctuate during the year, and the water usage of the family being served by the system.
These conditions are outside the control of the evaluator of the system. Satisfactory test
results do not guarantee future performance of the system, nor do they guarantee that
there are no hidden defects or encroachments. GEG, LTD. can therefore not provide
any warranty or future estimate of how long the system will continue to meet the
operational requirements of the ADEC or MOA DSD. The content of this report is for
the sole benefit of the owner listed above. Any reliance upon or use of this report by any
other person or party is not authorized, nor will it confer any legal tight whatsoever.
