As can be seen on the log, the material in the first thirteen feet of the soil profile is unsuitable for 'leach trench installa- tion. The soil encountered from thirteen feet to twenty feet was fairly good. No water table %•.,as found. Perched water tables are not common in this area and the static.water table averages from 60 to 70 feet. As a result, I would recommend designing the system for the 150 ft2/bdrm soils found from thirteen to twenty feet. I feel it would be safe to alloy sewer rock to be placed from thirteen feet to eighteen feet in the leach trench with no dan.Cer of water table encroachment. Sincerely, Steven�A. Allerss The purpose of this letter is to clarify statements I made in a letter to Mr. Les Buckholtz dated August 14, 1978 regarding the level of the water table on the above referenced lot. I feel there is no chance of encountering the water table at any depth less than twenty-four feet on the subject lot. As a result I would recommend allowing sewer rock to be placed from thirteen feet to twenty feet in the leach trench. This is in violation of Alaska State Health Codes. The protective radii requirement between a sewer and a community Class "C" well is 150 feet. This violation should be corrected prior to July 1, 1983 or legal action may follow. Please contact this office at 264-4720 for further information.
