The well on Lot 4 is located 85 feet from the septic tank on that same lot and 85 feet from the septic tank on Lot 3. The 100 foot separation requirement has been waived to 85 feet in this case. The well in question is 85' from the septic tanks on both lots 3&4. The well was drilled in 11/81 and both septic systems were installed with Municipal inspection on 12/04/81. The enclos- ed permit for lot 4 shows a wavier granted by L.G. Lindquist. We are requesting a formal wavier from your department that will allow future Health Authority Approvals. The well log enclosed shows the well draws from a bedrock confined aquifer. There is no depth of water entry on the log and as the casing extends to 60' one can assume that the aquifer is located in the fractured rock area. This aquifer is overlain by 43' of clay and 57' of bedrock. The well has a low yield of 0.9 GPM with a static water level of 26' . The subsurface soil is rated at 260 sq. ft. per bedroom in the trench sidewall area. The trench is currently leaching out of the bottom 30 inches of trench and trench bottom was measured by us,through the monitor tube, as 12' deep. Surface topography is slightly North sloping at 2% away from the well toward the septic tanks. The water sample was satisfactory. As per your instructions to the builder in your letter dated Dec. 18, and related to me in our telephone conversation of Dec. 23, we also inspected the well, and it Is sealed as required. it is my understanding that this is all the information required from us, as the remaining information was already obtained by the Municipality.
