A double cleanout is located immediately after the septic tank and is indicated on the attached drawing. The bed cleanout was reconfirmed on 12/6/08 & is as indicated. Cie, 2. The bed has had topsoil & was seeded. A photograph was previously submitted & a note has been added to the attached drawing. OK 3. In our previous telephone conversation I suggested moving the boulders about 4'. The bed was approved for a length of 25'& constructed at 28' length. As can be seen on the drawing, the north side of the field has about 5' of pavement over it & the south side has about 7'. We can have the boulders moved these distances. 4. The edge of the septic tank is right at the pavement interface. It does not appear that any vehicle will be driven over the tank. A bollard could be driven at the edge of the tan .iLY4u wjsh a� 5. A lot line waiver to the reserve field can be paid at the time of approval. 6. COI was rechecked on 12/6/08 & it is a cleanout. The approved separation distance is 1.0 foot. This waiver approval applies to the existing absorption field to property line separation only. In the summer of 2005, the MOA approved an absorption bed design at a I -foot lot line separation distance. During this time period, such approvals were common -place. Verbal discussion with the MOA plan reviewer took place concerning this issue. The lot line in question abuts a cul-de-sac and has minimal impact to other properties in the area. At the time of design there were no plans for a driveway and garage in this vicinity. A driveway built after the septic system construction exacerbated the tight lot constraints. We were recently able to relocate the driveway and relocate the reserve field to meet MOA requirements. The relocated reserve field site will require the use of an advanced treatment system if the primary field ever fails. The reserve field site also is located within the normal 10 -Coot lot line separation. There is no other development in this vicinity and the replacement site should likewise have minimal impact. The record drawing shows these bed locations. We appreciate you working with us on the driveway issue to obtain approval. We request final approval. Due to the presence of water @ 8' depth, a S.T.E.P. tank (lift station) will be required. A new 1250 gallon S.T.E.P. tank, manufactured by Anchorage Tank & Welding per Orenco Systems specifications will be installed. This lot is about 0.5 acres in size as are neighboring lots. No adverse impacts are expected from development. The residence will connected to public water. Utility easements will not be encroached upon. A soil tests found suitable soil for this area; silty gravel, not dense, and with adequate separation to groundwater. The system utilized an elevated 15' x 25' pressurized bed. An application rate of 1.2 GPD/FP. Specification Requirements: All components and work must comply with the Municipality of Anchorage Specifications (AMC) & State of Alaska Drinking Water Regulations and Wastewater Regulations. • Install two compartment, 1250 gallon S.T.E.P. tank, conforming to Anchorage Tank & Welding/Orenco Systems Specifications. • Watertight couplings on inlet & outlet • 5' minimum between the tank and bed. 10' to property lines. • 3' of cover is required for trench or insulate. • Tank & solid pipe must be set on well compacted, stable soil • 4 inch diameter cleanouts with airtight caps are required 1' to 4' from foundation wall, prior to any 90 degree bend in 4 inch line. • All cleanouts must extend to at least ground level • In solid pipe runs, ASTM D-3034 may be used in lieu of cast iron • Trench to be placed level, minimum of 4' to groundwater, 6' to bedrock from drain - rock • Drain rock to be''/2 inch to 2 % inch screened. Drain rock to be distributed uniformly throughout the trench. • Distribution pipe shall be 1.25" Schedule 40 PVC w/ 1/8" orifices @ 27" on center. • Force main shall be 1.25" Schedule 40 PVC, conforming to Anchorage Tank & Welding/Orenco Systems specifications. The minimum well productivity required by this Department (AMC 15.55) for a 3 -bedroom residence is .31 gallons per minute. Although the subject well currently exceeds this minimum requirement, all parties concerned are advised that the production capacity of the well may fluctuate. Restriction of non-critical water uses such as washing cars and watering lawns and gardens may be required. This advisory must be attached to all copies of the subject Certificate of On - Site Systems Approval.
