Ref: Septic System Upgrade for T15N, R1 W, Sec. 18; Lot 129,
To whom it may concern:
A permit was originally issued in 11/15/00. Per the home owner request we arc redesigning the
septic system for an Advantex treatment system. The proposed 4 bedroom house will be served
by a an existing private well and a proposed septic system. Two test holes where excavated on
the property. The proposed septic system will be designed around the 30 foot radii of these test
holes. We are proposing that a new 1500 gallon Advantex tank and a trench type drainficld be
installed. The existing septic system serving the mobile home will be completely abandoned.
Comments regarding the design arc summarized as follows:
1. SOILS: Sec the attached log which shows the soil classifications, groundwater monitoring,
and the percolation test results. It is our opinion that due to the overall appearance of the soils, an
application rate of 3.0 gallons/dayIR2 should be used.
2. TRENCH DESIGN:
a. Percolation Rate: <1 minutesrnch
b. Proposed Application Rate: 3.0 gallons/day/10
c. Number of Bedrooms: 4
d. Design Flow: 600 gallons per day
e. Minimum Absorption Area: 200 62
f. Total Depth: 3 feet (max.)
C. M.O.A. Approved Sand Filter. 2 feet (min.)
h. Effective Depth: 0.5 feet
I. Width:5 feet
j Minimum Length: 40 feet long total
k. Effective absorption area - 200 ft2
Note: The distribution line is to be 1.25" SCH 40 PVC with V4 inch diameter holes spaced every
16 inches on center (30 holes total).

3. SURFACE WATERS: There arc no surface waters within 100+ feet of the proposed septic
system.
4. TOPOGRAPHY: The property is relatively flat. In short, there are no slope concerns.
I am unaware of any adverse impacts this installation would have on adjacent wells or septic

Ref: Septic Upgrade Design for TISN, RIW, SEC 18; Lot 129
To whom it may concern:
The proposed 4 bedroom house will be served by a private well and septic system. Two test
holes were excavated on the property. The proposed septic system will be designed within the
30 foot radii of these test holes. We are proposing that a 1500 gallon S.T.E.P. tank and a
pressurized bed type drainfield be installed. Comments regarding the proposed design are
summarized as follows:
1. SOILS: See the attached logs which shows the soil classifications, groundwater monitoring,
and the percolation test results. It is our opinion that due to the overall appearance of the soils, an
application rate of 0.7 gallons/day/ft2 should be used and that a sand filter should be used.
2. TRENCH DESIGN:
a. Percolation Rate: <1 minutes/inch
b. Allowable Application Rate: 0.7 gallons/day/ft2
c. Number of Bedrooms: 4
d. Design Flow: 600 gallons per day
e. Minimum Absorption Area: 857 ft2
f. Total Depth: 3 feet (mar.)
g. M.O.A. approved sand filter. 2 feet minimum.
h. Effective Depth: 0.5 feet
i. Width: 15 feet
j. Minimum Length: 60 feet long
k. Effective absorption area = 900 f12
hl=: This is a pressurized system. The distribution lines are to 1.25' SCH 40 PVC with 1/8
inch diameter holes spaced every 3.0 feet on center (11 holes per later/66 holes total).
3. SURFACE WATERS: There are no surface waters within 100 feet of the proposed
upgrade.

4. TOPOGRAPHY: The property is generally flat. In short, there are no slope concerns.

Dear Ms. McMullian,
Approval for the individual sewer and water facilities cannot
be granted until the following items have been completed:
* No outside water tap is accessible. Please call this
office to arrange an inspector to meet us at the site.
* Expose the well for our inspection to determine proper
construction, also to insure minimum distance requirements
are met between the well and sewer system.
* Expose the septic tank manhole to verify its existence.
* The septic tank pumped with a receipt submitted to this
department. The total number of gallons pumped needs to be
on the receipt and verified by a registered engineer as to
the actual number of gallons pumped. This is to verify the
size of the septic tank.

An adequacy test needs to be performed on the existing
leaching area. This test will determine if the system is
adequate according to National Standards. A listing of
private firms performing the test is enclosed. This report
needs to be submitted to this office for our review.

~ A sewer system adequacy test was performed on the system located
on the referenced property as yob requested. The septic tank was
pumped and 'verified to have a capacity of approximately 1000 gallons.
The seepage pit was charged with 900 gallons of fresh water and
after a period of 24 hours all the water which had been added to the
crib had percolated out.
It can be concluded from this test that the waste water disposal
system serving the two bedroom residence located on this property
is currently functioning adequately. However, the system cannot
be guaranteed against subsequent failure.
