Well & Septic System Permit Request

I am writing to request that a permit to install a new water supply system and septic system be issued for this
lot. The proposed systems will serve a new five -bedroom house. Currently the lot is undeveloped. The
surrounding lots are served by private water systems, which are over 100 feet from the proposed soil
absorption system. The lot will be served by a private water system.
1. Soils. The soils were investigated during September of 2003 during the subdivision process. No
ground water was monitored in the test holes to a depth of 15.5 feet below ground level. Bedrock was not
encountered in the test holes. The native soils have sufficient sand component (greater than 51% passing the
#4 sieve) as not to require a two foot (2') sand filter. It is my opinion that the overall soils appearance of the
soils, an application rate of 1.0 gallons/day/square feet should be used using a standard treatment system.

3. Surface Water: There is no surface water within 100 feet of the proposed system. The proposed
systems will maintain at least 100 feet from all surface water and drainage ditches containing water.
4. Topography: Lot 3 slopes to the southeast at approximately 12.5 percent in the vicinity of the septic
system. The lot is uniform in its slope. The proposed installation will be located in the central portion of the
lot, greater than 50 feet from slopes greater than 25%.

The proposed installation will not affect the future development of the surrounding or existing lots. There
are no wells or septic systems within 100 feet of the proposed septic location.

Well & Septic System Permit Request
-13
Ladies and Gentlemen:
I am writing to request that a permit to install a new water supply system and septic system be issued for this
lot. The proposed systems will serve a new five -bedroom house. Currently the lot is undeveloped. The
surrounding lots are served by private water systems, which are over 100 feet from the proposed soil
absorption system. The lot will be served by a private water system.
I.' Soils. The soils were investigated during September of 2003 during the subdivision process. No
ground water was monitored in the test holes to a depth of 15.5 feet below ground level. Bedrock was not
encountered in the test holes. The native soils have sufficient sand component as not to require a two foot
(2') sand filter. It is my opinion that the overall soils appearance of the soils, an application rate of 1.2
gallons/day/square feet should be used using a standard treatment system.

3. Surface Water: There is no surface water within 100 feet of the proposed system. The proposed
systems will maintain at least 100 feet from all surface water and drainage ditches.
4. Topography: Lot 3 slopes to the southeast at approximately 8 percent in the vicinity of the septic
system. The lot is uniform in its slope. The proposed installation will be located in the central portion of the
lot, greater than 50 feet from slopes greater than 25%.
