The lot size is 1.25 acres, typical for the area and the lot to the east is vacant. The test hole excavation revealed silty gravel (GM) for the full depth of 16 feet, with water observed at 12 feet. The water table did not raise above the 12' level during the 7 day monitoring period in May of 2007. The perc was 10 minutes per inch. A slower perc has been used to increase the life of the system. All the lot has a gentle slope of about 4 to 5 percent from the north to the south, mostly at the septic area, as shown on the plan.
