Box 196650 Anchorage, Alaska 99519 Subject: Hideaway Lake S/D, Block 2, Lot 6 Well Permit Request Ladies and Gentlemen: I am writing to request that a permit to install a new water supply system be issued for this lot. The proposed system will be used to provide agricultural and fire suppression services to the house located on Lot 7, Block 2 Hideaway Lake S/D. The same person owns both lots. The well on lot 7, Block 2 produces 0.5 gallons per minute, which is adequate for the four-bedroom house located on the lot. However the Owners are finding that to maintain the lawn, the existing well does not meet their needs, while serving the house. Also the Owners are concerned that their investment could be in jeopardy due to a wild fire and would like to have a water system that could provide some protection incase of a fire. The proposed well on Lot 6, Block 2 Hideaway Lake's S/D will have a well house that will contain the pressure tanks and water storage tanks. Currently the lot is undeveloped. The surrounding lots are served by private water systems, and septic systems, which are over 100 feet from the proposed water supply system. The proposed installation will not affect the future development of the surrounding or existing lots. There are no septic systems within 100 feet of the proposed well location.
