We are proposing that a well be drilled in the area shown on the attached site plan and design drawing. We are also proposing that a 1250 gallon S.T.E.P. tank and 5-wide trench type drainfield be installed. Attached are a site plan and a design drawing showing the proposed septic system area. Two test holes were excavated on the property. The drainfield will be designed around the 30 foot radius of both test holes. As can be seen on the attached site plan, there are several surface waters and streams on the property. In order to install the septic system, we will be required to cross the stream. We have contacted the MOA watershed department and they have mapped the surface water and are aware of the situation. We are currently in the process of obtaining approval from the appropriate agency (MOA watershed or Corp. of Engineers) in order to cross the stream with the sewer line and equipment/materials. We are proposing to installs culverts in order to make the crossings. Comments regarding the design are summarized as follows: 1. SOILS: See the attached logs which show the soil classifications, groundwater monitoring, and the percolation test results. 2. DRAINFIELD DESIGN: See attached design drawing for drainfield specifications. 3. SURFACE WATERS: The surface waters are shown on the attached site plan and design drawing. We are requiring that the 100 foot setback to all surface waters be flagged/staked by a registered land surveyor prior to construction. The proposed drainfield and tank will be a minimum of 100'setback from all surface waters. 4. TOPOGRAPHY: As can be seen on the attached site plan, the average topography below the drainfield is 10-15 percent running northeast to southwest. In short, there are no slope concerns. 3701 E. LOT LINE WAIVER: Due to site constraints, we are requesting a 1 foot lot line waiver from the east lot line to the proposed drainfield and alternate site.
