Ref: Proposed Initial Septic System on Southern Parcel & Private well on Northern Parcel of Timber
Ridge Subdivision; Block 4, Lot lA
To whom it may concern:
The subject property is in the process of subdividing and initial onsite services are required. An existing 3
bedroom house and a cabin reside on property. The two will be on separate lots after the subdividing occurs.
The cabin which rests on the northern parcel is currently served by an MOA approved septic system. The home
which is located on the southern parcel is served by an undocumented system and is required to have an initial
septic system installed. Both residents are served by the same private well as of now. We are proposing that a
new well is drilled that will serve the cabin on the northern parcel and have the existing well be the sole
supplier for the southern parcel. We are also proposing that a new 1000 gallon septic tank and a 5 -wide trench
type drainfield be installed to serve the house on the southern parcel. The existing cabin on the northern parcel
is currently served by an approved septic. One test hole was excavated on the property. The drainfield will be
designed around the 30 foot radius of this test hole. Comments regarding the design are summarized as
follows:
1. SOILS: See the attached log which shows the soil classifications, groundwater monitoring, and the
percolation test results.
2. DRAINFIELD DESIGN: See attached design drawing for drainfield specifications.
3. SURFACE WATERS: There are no surface waters within 100 feet of the proposed septic system.
4. TOPOGRAPHY: As can be seen on the attached design drawing the average topography below the
drainfield is a 15-20 percent slope running approximately north to south. In short, there are no slope concerns.
We are unaware of any adverse impacts this installation would have on adjacent wells or septic systems. If

Dear Sir or Madam,
We are in the process of subdividing our property in Eagle River, in order for our daughter
and her husband, Jim & Amy Harmon, to built their primary residence home on the
subdivided lot.
We understand that a fully compliant new septic system must be installed in order to allow
for the subdivision of our property.
With this letter we are requesting approval for our son-in-law, Jim Harmon, to perform all
earth moving and installation work necessary to install a fully compliant new septic system.
He has had considerable experience with the operation of earth moving equipment, such
as backhoes, front-end loaders, bobcats, etc. and is qualified to perform this work.
He will not be paid and it should be considered `owner performed" work. I plan to assist
him as a safety observer/gofer. .
All work will be accomplished in accordance with the requirements put forth in the design and
permit application prepared by Garness Engineering Group Ltd. as approved in
permit#SW090109.
