The proposed systems will serve a proposed three-bedroom house. The lot is currently undeveloped and will be served by a private water system. 1. Soils. See the attached soils log. A single test hole was excavated during the investigation process and is attached. Ground water was observed at a depth of 4.4 feet in the test hole during water monitoring this fall. Bedrock was not encountered in the test holes. It is my opinion that the overall soils appearance of the soils, an application rate of 2 gallons/day/square feet should be used using an advanced treatment system. 'l~ench Design. a. Surface Water: There is no surface water within 200 feet of the proposed system. 4. Topography: The average topography in the area of the proposed septic system is approximately 10 percent. 5. Additional Information: A French drain will be installed uphill and to the sides of the proposed system. During the soils investigation phase, an eight foot deep trench was excavated to dry-out the test hole area. It successfully lowered the water level to a depth that allowed the percolating of the soils. The proposed drain will be a minimum of 12 feet deep and will ouffall greater than 100 feet from the proposed SAS. The proposed installation will not affect the future development of the surrounding or existing lots. There are no wells or septic systems within 100 feet of the proposed septic location.
