Box 196650 Anchorage, Alaska 99519 Subject; Lot 17, Block 3 Cinerama Terrace Subdivision, Well & Septic System Permit Request My firm was contaeted to design and install a new septic system and well for the referenced lot. We conducted a field investigation to locate exis~g wells and septic system before desiglfing the proposed system. Seven test holes were excavated on September 21, 1996 for the system design. Groined water was encountered in three of the holes at depth ranging from eleven to fourteen feet below Wound level. Bedrock was encom~tered in five of the test holes, all were located on the north eastern portion of the lot. The lot is approximately 2.5 acres in size. Lot s 17 slopes to the southwest at a rate of approximately 6-11 percent. The southwestern portion of the lot is flatter (approximately 2-5%). The proposed drain-field installation will be located in the south western portion of the lot. Double clean-outs will be installed after the tm~k. The proposed location is greater than 100 feet away fi.om any wells. The proposed system will be greater than 10 feet from the water service tines. The proposed well for this lot will be located in the central to eastern portion of the lot, greater than 100 feet fi.om the proposed drain-field. The proposed installation will not affect the future development of the sm~'ounding or ex/sting lots. See the attached design.
