Ladies and Gentlemen:
I am writing to request a well & septic system installation permit for the above referenced
property. The proposed system will serve a 3-bedroom single-family residence. Soil logs,
desi~ calculations, a site plan, design drawings and construction specifications are enclosed for
your review.
Design Calcs: No groundwater observed.
(7/21/14).
Soil Rating. From test hole 7/14/14
9 rain/in = 0.8 gal per sq.ft./day
No. of Bedrooms 3
Required area per bedroom: 150/0.8 =188 sq.ft.
Total area required: 188 x 3 = 563 sq.ft.
Use shallow trench with 4 feet effective
Miulmum trench length: 563 sq.ft./5 ft *0.5 = 56.3'
System: We are proposing a 1250 gallon STEP tank followed by a wide trench absorption field.
The absorption field will be 60 feet long and 5 feet wide and contain 4.0 feet (600 sq.ft.
effective) of sewer rock.
Soils: A test holes was excavated on July 14 2014. See the attached soil logs. Groundwater was
not observed on July 21 2014. Ground water monitoring will continue through construction of
the septic system.

Surface Water: There are no surface waters within one hundred feet of the proposed septic
system upgrade.
Topography: The ground level is generally level in the area of the proposed septic system and
house.
Waivers: None Required.
Well: The well will be located in the north east corner of the lot. It will be located so that the
reserve areas of lot 209 to the east and Mink Creek Tract C to the north will not be impacted.
The installation of this septic system will not prevent wells and septic systems from being
installed on the adjacent lots. The proposed septic system will not change the general slope of
the area. Ponding and/or concentration of surface rnnolT will not result from this installation.

F. ENGINEER'S COMMENTS
Monitor tube was found to be thin walled 4" pvc perf pipe, with perforations
full length. We sleeved the existing tube with 3" abs to prevent crushing.
The portion within the sewer rock was perforated with 1/2" dia holes at 4" o.c., 2 sides.
