Ladies and Gentlemen:
1. Spurkland Engineering: I have been asked to assist Spurkland Engineering with
completing some of their outstanding projects. As you know, Mr. Lars Spurkland passed away
suddenly.
2. Change in Bedrooms: The permit issued for the above project (OSP 14148 1) was issued
for two (2) bedrooms (as stated on the MoA Tax Roles). In reviewing the design, the future
requirement for this lot was for a three bedroom system. The design reflects a three bedroom
system. I request the permit be revised to a three (3) bedroom system based on the original
design approved.
3.
The proposed installation will not affect the future development of the surrounding or existing
lots. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at 272-8218.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
I am writing to request a septic system installation permit for the above referenced property. The
existing septic system did not meet COSA operational requirements. The proposed system will
serve a 2-bedroom single-family residence. Soil logs, design calculations, a site plan, design
drawings and construction specifications are enclosed for your review.
Design Cales: Groundwater not observed up fo a depth of 21 feet below ground surface
(9/24/14, 10/27/14).
Soil Rating. From Test hole 9/12/14
3 min/in = 1.2 gal per sq.ft./day
No. of Bedrooms 3
Required Area per Bedroom:. 150/1.2 = 125 sq.fi.
Total area required: E25 x 3 = 375 sq.ft.
System: We are proposing a 1000 gallon septic tank followed by a deep trench absorption field.
The absorption field will be 25 feet long and 2 feet wide and contain 10 feet (500 sq.ff, effective)
of sewer rock.
Soils: Test holes were excavated on September 12th,2014 by Pannone Engineering Services.
See the attached soil logs. Ground water monitoring will continue through construction of the
septic system. Groundwater was not observed on October 27, 2014.
Surface Water: There are no surface waters within one hundred feet of the proposed septic
system upgrade.

Topography: The ground level is generally flat through the entire neighborhood.
Waivers: None
The installation of this septic system will not prevent wells and septic systems from being
installed on the adjacent lots. The proposed septic system will not change the general slope of
the area. Ponding and/or concentration of surface runoff will not result from this installation.
