This property currently has two (2) single family dwellings, two (2) private wells, and two (2) septic systems. The proposed lots lie adjacent to a 100 foot highway fight-of-way on thc east side and a 60 foot wide road fight-of-way On thc pouth side. These areas, along with the lot size, will provide adequate density to minimize the influenc~ of un-site wastewater disposal with respect to wells and groundwater. To ensure that the existing wastewater disposal does not significantly increase, we propose to include a plat note limiting fature developraent to a maximum of four (4) bedrooms on each lot. Proposed £ot I The single family dwall~g on this porfiou of the existing lot was constructed ha 1972. An andoeumented septic system was hastalled and water was supplied from the existing well on proposed Lot 1. A new well to service the home on proposed Lot 2 was drilled in 1984 and the home was discormeeted from the well serv~g the home on proposed Lot 1. The septic system was upgraded ha 1989 under permit SW890205. An adecfua~y test has been perfomaed on the upgraded septic system and the system is currently functioning adequately. A well flow test was also performed and water samples takea to show that the existing well is satisfactory. The well serving this home wan drilled in 1964. An undocumented septic ~y~tem was also installed circa 1964-1967, The septic tank was excavated and found to be concrete, with approximately 2000 gallon capacity. Pumping record~ 'also confirm the capacity at 2000 gallons. The pipe from the septic tank to the seepage pit (assumed) was $epamt~l whcrc it exited the tank in order to install the double eleanout. Water wa~ found nmuing back from the crib to the tank. It was assumed the crib was saturator and would not pass au adequacy test. A test hole was excavated and an upgrade was designed. The request for a permit for the septic upgrade was submitted to your office on 3-2-2009. Two (2) additional sites for future upgrades will be shown on the plat with/n the requLrad area established by the test hole. A well flow test was performed and water samples were taken to show that the existing well is satisfactory. Other well head improvements were made by Arctic Pump and Well, Inc. which included extending the well casing, adequate well head seal, conduit, and verification of no perforations within a casing depth of 40 feet +.
