3. The wastewater code requires inspections during the installation. The engineer must notify the Development Services
Department at least 2 hours prior to each inspection. Provide notification by calling (907) 343~7904 (24 hours).
4. From October 15 to April 15, a subsurface soil absorption system under construction during freezing weather must either:
A. Open and Close on the same day.
B. Covered, sealed, and heated to prevent freezing.

Septic System Design and Permit Application
Impacts to Adjacent Properties
Dear Onsite Services Engineer:
The septic tank on Lot E-l, Fire Lake Subdivision has failed and must be replaced. We
are proposing to replace the tank with a new 1,250 gallon septic tank to serve the four-
bedroom duplex on the lot. We are therefore requesting a permit be issued for the
construction of a new septic tank. The attached Site Plan and backup documentation
identify the location and configuration of the existing septic system and the location of
the new tank. Also identified on the plans is the existing well on the lot. The subdivision
is served by a community water system. The existing tank and lift station on the lot will
disposed in accordance with Municipal Code. The drainage patterns on the property
will be maintained after construction.
The ground surface on the lot slopes to the southeast at a 3% grade in the area of the
new tank. The tank will be placed in the same location as the existing tank at nearly the
same elevation. It will then be tied in to the existing service line.
If the tank is constructed in accordance with our design the following statements apply:
The tank, if constructed as designed, will have no adverse impact on the wells in
the area or those to be constructed in the future.
The tank, if constructed as designed, will have no adverse impact on existing
septic systems in the area or those to be constructed in the future.
The tank, if constructed as designed, will have no adverse impact on reserve
space, either surface or subsurface, on any lots located in the area.

4. The tank, if constructed as designed, will have no adverse impact on drainage
patterns in the area. The current drainage pattern will be maintained.
