Ref: Proposed Initial Septic System for Mountain Manori Block 2, Lot 7A;
To whom it may concern:
The referenced property is currently vacant and the owner is proposing to construct a 3 bedroom house on
it. The home will be served by a private well and septic system. We are proposing to install a 1,000 gallon
septic tank and a 5 wide trench type drainfield. One testhole was excavated on the property by Steve
Pannone, P.E. in December 2014. The drainfield is designed around the 30 foot radius of this testhole.
'1. SOILS: See the attached soil log from Steve Pannone, P.E. dated 2014 which shows the soil
classifications, groundwater monitoring, and the percolation test results.
2. DRAINFIELD DESIGN: See attached design drawing for drainfield specifications.
3. SURFACE WATERS: There are no surface water concerns.
4. TOPOGRAPHY: As can be seen on the attached topography drawing, the average topography around
the proposed drainfield is 30% running northeast to southwest.
5. WAIVER REQUEST: We are requesting a 0 foot waiver be granted from the proposed drainfield
(including reserve site) to slopes greater than 25%. We are also requesting your department issue a
variance to allow for the slopes below the drainfield to be 3:1 (33%) or less. As can be seen on the
attached drawing (page 3 of 3), at a 25% slope (starting ~2.5 feet above the drainfield) the potential point
of daylighting is greater than 50 feet horizontally from the drainfield. Your department also accepts slopes
of 3:1 for any drainfield that is above grade (mounded)
