Box 196650 Anchorage, AK 99519-6650 Subject: Upgrade Sewer & Well Permit - Dalzell-Schneiter B2, L8 The owner has requested we proceed forward to obtain a well and septic permit to upgrade the existing undocumented septic system. The existing well encroaches upon the adjacent lot's septic and proposed septic system upgrade location. Both the existing well and undocumented septic system will be completely decommissioned. The general slope of this lot is from southeast to northwest at a grade of approximately 7-12% over the septic area. On August 20, 2015 a testhole was performed to investigate soils and groundwater. The results of this test are attached for your review. The proposed upgrade will serve the existing 1- bedroom single-family residence. We propose to install one 24' long deep trench with 8' effective depth. Groundwater was not encountered at excavation or at moifitoring. The property and adjacent lots are served by private water. There is no surface water within 100' of the proposed system and there are no known curtain drains within 50'.
