Well and Septic System Construction
Dear On Site Representative:
The septic system on Lot 27A, Block 7H, Rabbit Creek View & Heights Subdivision was
constructed in October of 2015. Since that time no work has been done on the house,
driveway or any other features on the lot. The well has not been constructed and the
outhouse on the property has not been abandoned.
We are submitting the inspection report to document the work that has been done to
date and to satisfy our commitment to this project. We are unsure if the property has
been abandoned or sold. We have had no contact with the owner since October of
2015. If further work is accomplished on the property or if contacted by the owner we
will submit further documentation of both the proposed well and the septic system. At
this time however our involvement in the work is complete.
The ditch fronting the property is currently dry even after the constant rains of the past
months. Drainage in the area may have been improved over the past two years making
the requirement for a waiver to surface water unnecessary.

Septic Tank and Absorption Trench to Surface Water Waiver
Dear Onsite Services Engineer:
Recent heavy rains have caused substantial runoff in the ditch along Robert Circle and
fronting. Lot 27A. This ditch was known to be dry up until the second week of
September. The lowest absorption trench designed for the lot is 36' from the ditch at
the closest point. A waiver is therefore necessary from the 100' setback required by
Municipal Ordinance.
We are proposing to construct a berm to the north of the absorption trench to insure
any overflow of septic effluent will travel a minimum of 100' prior to discharge into the
ditch which apparently flows only during the heavy, runoff pedods of the year. It is
unlikely the septic system will overflow, but tha berm will insure no contamination can
occur to water flowing in the ditch.
We therefore request a waiver be issued al!owing the septic system to remain in its
proposed location at 36' from the ditch.

Impacts to Adjacent Properties
Dear Onsite Services Engineer:
Lots 26A and 27A, Block 7H, Rabbit Creek View and Heights Subdivision have the
same owner. He is intending to upgrade the structure on Lot 26A to a two~ bedroom
home and intends to construct a septic system on Lot 27A. The well will be placed on
Lot 26A We are therefore requesting a permit be issued for the construction of a new
well and septic system. The attached Site Plan and backup documentation identify the
location and configuration of the proposed well and septic system along with the
alternate site. The existing outhouse and septic system components on the lot will be
decommissioned in accordance with Municipal Code. No conflicts exist between the
proposed septic system and well or septic systems on adjacent lots. The majority of the
lots surrounding these lots are vacant. Drainage arrows and surface contours are
shown on the site plan showing the grade and direction of flow on the lot. The drainage
pattern will not be changed as a result of this project.
The test holes placed on the lot in the area of the absorption trench and alternate site
indicated gravel with varying amounts of silt (GM/ML). The absorption rate of the soil
was determined to be 30 minutes per inch. No groundwater was found during the
placement of the test holes and none was found during the monitoring period. An
application rate of .6 gallons per day per square foot was used in the design of the
absorption system. We are proposing to place a new 1,000-gallon septic tank and a 36'
long x 3' wide x 7' effective deptth absorption trench. The elevation of the distribution
line in the absorption trench will be 3' below the surface and the total depth will be 10'.
A minimum of 3' of fill or 2" of insulation and 2' of fill will be placed over the absorption
trench and 4' over the septic tank.

The ground surface on the lot in the area of the septic system slopes to the northeast at
a grade approaching 20%. The new trench will be constructed parallel with the
contours of the slope as much as possible in conformance with Municipal requirements.
The new septic system will be constructed a minimum of 100' from all wells and any
surface water and 10' the proposed and existing water services in the area.
If the system is constructed in accordance with our design the following statements
apply:
The system, if constructed as designed, will have no adverse impact on the wells
in the area or those to be constructed in the future.
The system, if constructed as designed, will have no adverse impact on existing
septic systems in the area or those to be constructed in the future.
The system, if constructed as designed, will have no adverse impact on reserve
space, either surface or subsurface, on any lots located in the area.
The system, if constructed as designed, will have no adverse impact on drainage
patterns in the area. The current drainage pattern will be maintained.
