All construction must be in accordance with: 1. The attached approved design.
2. All requirements specified in Anchorage Municipal code Chapters 15.55 and 15.65 and the State of Alaska Wastewater
Disposal Regulations (18AAC72) and Drinking Water Regulations (18AAC80).
3. The wastewater code requires inspections during the installation. The engineer must notify the Development Services
Department at least 2 hours prior to each inspection. Provide notification by calling (907) 343-7904 (24 hours).
4. From October 15 to April 15, a subsurface soil absorption system under construction during freezing weather must either:

Reference: Lot 2, Block 1; Rabbit Creek Subdivision on site well and septic system pemtit.
Dear Plan Review Engineer:
Please find enclosed our design documents for an on-site well and septic system serving the proposed 3 bedroom
private residence at Rabbit Creek subdivision.
We are proposing to install a private well, a 1,500 gallon septic tank with a lift station m~d a 25'long deep trench
with 7.5' of gravel below the distribution pipe.
On August 9, 2015, we excavated a test hole to determine ground water condition and soil absorption in the
subsurface formation. (TH1). The attached soils log shows groundwater monitoring and percolation test results
(4 minutes/1 inch).
The topography of this lot is as follows:
Steep slopes greater than 25% to the south as shown in our topographic map, and;
About 5%-8% cross slopes to the east at the lower level.
We are requesting a distance waiver between the proposed deep ~xench and the existing ground slope to the south,
which is greater than 25%.
The required 50' from the proposed trench cmmot be obtained due to the steep slopes and the location of the north
property line.
Based on the MOA guidelines regarding distance waivers, the maximum attainable distance to a slope steeper
than 25% is only 32'.
We therefore request a distance waiver for this on-site septic system.
The on-site water and septic system will have no adverse effect on the surrounding wells, septic systems, or
surface waters if the system is constructed as per the approved design documents.
Drainage patterns will be restored to pre-construction conditions.
