Ref: Proposed Septic Upgrade for Lake Ridge Terrace S/D; Block 7A, Lot 2
To whom it may concern:
The existing 4 bedroom duplex is served by a private well and septic system that consists
of an onsite septic tank and a shared drainfield with Lot 3. The owner of the property
would like to have his own drainfield and to be disconnected from the shared drainfields.
One test holes was excavated on the property and the proposed drainfield will be installed
within the 30 foot radius of this test hole. We are proposing that a new 1250 gallon septic
tank and dual 5 -wide drainfields be installed. Comments regarding the design are
summarized as follows:
1. SOILS: See the attached log which show the soil classifications, groundwater
monitoring, and the percolation test results.
2. DRAINFIELD DESIGN: See attached design drawing for drainfield specifications.
3. SURFACE WATERS: There are no surface water concerns.
4. TOPOGRAPHY: As can be seen on the attached topography drawing, the average
topography around the proposed drainfield is 1-5%. In short, there are no slope concerns.
We are unaware of any adverse impacts this installation would have on adjacent wells or

will not be granted until the following items have been
completed:
( ) A viell log is submitted to this department.
f ) They top of the well casing is sealed with a sanitary
seal so that it is water tight.
(X) The depression or pit around the well casing should
be filled with LiApervious type soil so that it slopes
away from the well casing.
( )
The well casing is extendeO twelve (12) inches above
ground level.
f ) Expose the well for our inspection to determine proper
construction, also, to insure the minimum distance
requirements are met between your well and sewer system.
(X) The septic tank is pumped with a receipt submitted to
this office.
f ) A four(4) inch cast iron, cleanout be installed to the
septic tarsi=: or leach4n arca.
(X) A percolation test be performed on the existing leaching
area. This will determine if the system is adequate
according to Hational Standards. A list of private: firma
who perform the test is enclosed.

A sewer adequacy test was conducted on the ref. property on 16 and 1'7
December 1978, per your request.
The absorption area consist.of 4 cribs and seepage -pit, located on the
property line serving your duplex (4 br.) on lot 2 and a 4 unit appartment
(8 br.) located on lot 3. Each crib area was charged with 1,000 gals.
of water. Percolation, as recorded on 17 December 1978, resulted in the
removal of approximately 2,800 gals. or 233 gal/br. It can be concluded
that the absorption area is adequate for both dwellings located on
lots 2 & 3.
The septic tanks on both lots were pumped and the tank servicing your
duplex was verified to have a capacity of 1,250 gals.
As the result of the above survey and test it can be concluded that the
sewer system (septic tank & seepage pit) is adequate.
