This is a very deep system exiting the house at approximately 8.5’ from grade. We propose to install one 1500-gallon HDPE 10-foot burial STEP tank and pressurized shallow trench to serve the existing 4-bedroom residence. The design is based on the recent test hole conducted on June 27, 2024. No groundwater was observed at test hole excavation or monitoring. The slopes are flat to moderate slopes at 0-3% at the proposed upgrade location. The lot and area are served by private water. The design will not impact any of the neighboring properties. Box 196650 Anchorage, AK 99519-6650 RE: Silver Crest SID, Block 1, Lot 6 Septic Tank Replacement To Whom It May Concern: Attached please find an application to install a new 1250 gallon steel septic tank at the referenced 4 bedroom house in Anchorage. The existing tank was installed in 1977 and will be abandoned in place. During a repair to the piping between the tank and the drainfield, numerous holes were discovered in the tank. The drainfield appears to be in good condition and no work is proposed for it. There are no surface water concerns, and the new tank will be placed more than 100 ft away from any private wells. I am not aware of any adverse effect that this upgrade would have on any adjacent properties' water and wastewater treatment needs. Thank you for consideration of this permit application.
