Box 196650, Anchorage, Alaska 99519-6650 Ref: Well and Septic Design for Lot 5, Block 2, Potter Heights Subdivision To whom it may concern: The proposed 3 bedroom house will be served by a private well and septic system. Two test holes were excavated in the area for the proposed septic system. The septic system will be designed around the 30 foot radius of these test holes. We are proposing that a 1000 gallon septic tank and four 5 -wide drainfields be installed. Comments regarding the proposed design are summarized as follows: 1. SOILS: See the attached logs which shows the soil classifications, groundwater monitoring, and the percolation test results. It is our opinion that due to the overall appearance of the soils, an application rate of 0.45 gallons/day/f12 should be used. 2. TRENCH DESIGN: f� 34•S a. Percolation Rate: 24 & 60 minutes/inch b. TOPOGRAPHY: As can be seen on the attached topography site plan, the average topography of this property is a 10 to 15 percent running from approximately southeast to northwest; in short, there are no slope concerns. The trenches are to be installed parallel to the slope contours. 5. LOT LINE WAIVER: We request that a 5 foot lot line waiver be granted from the east property line to the proposed septic system.
