The attached site plan identifies the location of the home as well as the proposed ADU, septic location and alternate site. No conflicts exist between this proposed system and any other well or septic system, whether on this lot or adjacent lots. The ground surface on the lot slopes toward the northwest gradually between 15-20%. There are no slopes greater than 25% within 50 feet downslope of either the primary or alternate site. Contours are shown on the site plan showing the grade and direction of flow. Stormwater drainage will not impact this septic system. R&M Consultants, Inc. conducted a subsurface soils investigation at the proposed location of the sanitary sewer drain field on the subject lot. The test procedure complied with those required by the Municipality of Anchorage, Department of Health and Environmental Protection. The site topography is gently sloping. At the time of the investigation the site had vegetation consisting of sparse spruce and birch with grass and low shrub undergrowth. Field activities were performed on August 27, 1980. Excavation was accomplished with a track mounted backhoe supplied by Earthwork Inc. Two adjacent test holes were excavated. One to a depth of 11 feet below original existing ground surface and the other was excavated into the proposed effluent acceptance stratum. The test holes were sited according to your instructions and the location is shown on the attached soil log. The surface soils were inspected at the time of excavation by Phil Baldner a technician from our office. Grab samples were taken to the laboratory and were visually classified. The description of the soil encountered is shown on attached soils log. No bedrock was encountered to the depth excavated. At the time the test hole was excavated seasonal frost was not present and permafrost was not encountered. At the time the test hole was inspected, slight seepage water was encountered at a deptb—of—severn44--feet—b iQw tbP wdg:in,L_Qround surfacer_ The seepage was slight and due mainly to the silty layer at this depth.__No ground water table was encountered at the time of the inspection. It should be noted that the information given in this report displays specific conditions encountered on the date of the investigation.
