The proposed systems will serve an existing three (3) bedroom house. Currently the lot is developed. A 1000g septic tank will be installed. The design will be changed to utilize 3ea 5'W trenches instead of a bed type drain field. This lot is served by a class 'A' well that is located over 200' from the proposed drain field. The surrounding lots are served by the same water system. There are no wells on surrounding lots within 200 feet of this system. There was an un- used well on Lot 3, of Lampert Estates, Block 3, just to the south of this lot. That well has been abandoned per code. 1. Soils. One test hole was excavated in the area of this drain filed by Pannone Engineering Services in July of 2013, and groundwater was encountered in the test hole 8.5 feet below the ground surface. One test hole was also excavated by Arc Terra in April of 2013 in which ground water was monitored at 6' below ground level in June of 2013. It is my opinion, based on the results of the percolation tests and overall soils appearance; an application rate of 0.6 gallons/day/square feet should be used for a conventional wastewater system. 2. Soil Absorption System Design. a. See Sheet 2 of the design package. 3. Surface Water: There is no surface water within 100 feet of the proposed septic tank and drain field. The proposed drain field upgrade will maintain at least 100 feet from all surface water and drainage ditches. 4. Topography: The existing topography slopes from the east to west at approximately 5% in the area of the proposed drain field. There are no steep slopes in the vicinity of this system. Mailing: P.O.
