Therefore, the owner has requested that a tank upgrade permit be obtained. We propose that the existing tank be decommissioned per code, filled with concrete with a new single compartment 1250-gallon HDPE tank and a 1000-galon HDPE STEP tank installed per the attached design. No groundwater was noted in the MOA on-site file, but if groundwater is encountered during installation an epoxy coated steel septic tanks may be required. The lot and area are served by private water and any encroaching wells, easements, … must be staked prior to construction. The design will not impact any of the neighboring properties. The proposed well location is shown on the attached site plan and design drawings. We are proposing to install a 1500 gallon septic tank and dual deep trench type drainfields. Three test holes were excavated on the property. The drainfield will be designed around the 30 foot radii of GEG test holes #1 and #2. Comments regarding the design are summarized as follows: 1. SOILS: See the attached logs which show the soil classifications, groundwater monitoring, and the percolation test results. 2. DRAINFIELD DESIGN: See attached design drawing for drainfield specifications. 3. SURFACE WATERS: There are no surface waters within 100 feet of the proposed septic system. 4. TOPOGRAPHY: As can be seen on the attached topography site plan, the average topography in the area of the drainfield is a 5 percent slope running approximately east to west.
