Water Storage Permit Application
Dear Onsite Services Engineer:
The well on Lot 4, Block 2, Seidler Subdivision No. 1 was recently developed to
produce .325 gallons of water per minute. This is less than the .42 required by
Municipal Code for a four bedroom home. A total of 600 gallons of static storage has
been added to the water system to increase water availability to the household. The
storage includes 2-300 gallon Norwesco vertical storage tanks. The tanks are NSF
certified and all components of the water system including the storage tanks comply
with the latest adopted edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code.
The storage tanks are plumbed in line with from the well and will be filled directly by the
well. Water flows directly from the static storage to the standard pressure tank which
maintains the working pressure in the water system. No water hauling is anticipated.
The tanks are clearly marked "Potable Water".

Septic System Design and Permit Application
Impacts to Adjacent Properties
Dear Onsite Services Engineer
The owner of Lot 4, Block 2, Seidler Subdivision No. 1 intends to construct a new four-
bedroom home on the lot. We are therefore requesting a permit be issued for the
construction of a new well and septic system to accommodate the home. The attached
Site Plan and backup documentation identify the location and configuration of the
proposed well and septic system along with the alternate site. Also identified on the
plans are the existing wells and septic systems on surrounding lots. No conflicts exist
between the proposed septic system and well or septic systems and wells on adjacent
lots. Ground surface contours and drainage arrows are shown on the site plan showing
the grade and direction of flow on the lot. The drainage pattern will not be changed as
a result of this project.
Two test holes were placed on the lot in the area of the absorption trench and alternate
site. The logs indicate silty sand (SM) in the zone specified for the absorption trench.
The percolation rate of the soil was determined to be 2.5 to 3 minutes per inch. No
groundwater was found during the placement of the test holes and none was noted
during the monitoring period. An application rate of 1.2 gallons per day per square foot
was used in the design of the absorption system. We are proposing to place a new
1,250 -gallon septic tank and a 50' long by 5' wide by 4' effective depth absorption
trench to treat and dispose of the effluent generated in the house. The elevation of the
distribution line in the absorption trench will be 3' below the surface and the total depth
will be 7'. A minimum of 3' of fill or 2" of insulation and 2' of fill will be placed over the
absorption trench and 4' over the septic tank.
The ground surface on the lot in the area of the septic system slopes to the southeast.
The new trench will be constructed parallel with the contours of the slope as much as

possible in conformance with Municipal requirements. The new septic system will be
constructed a minimum of 100' from all wells and any surface water and 10' the
proposed and existing water services in the area. - - - - If the system is constructed in accordance with our design the following statements
apply:
The system, if constructed as designed, will have no adverse impact on the wells
in the area or those to be constructed in the future.
2. The system, if constructed as designed, will have no adverse impact on existing
septic systems in the area or those to be constructed in the future.
3. The system, if constructed as designed, will have no adverse impact on reserve

Water Well Advisory
Certificate of On -Site Systems Approval (COSA) # OSC151209
During a recent COSA on-site inspection and test of the potable water
supply well on Block 2, Lot 4 of Seidler subdivision, the well's productivity
was determined to be 0.325 gallons per minute. The minimum well
productivity required by this Department (AMC 15.55) for a 4 -bedroom
residence is 0.52 gallons per minute. All parties concerned are advised that
the production capacity of the well may fluctuate. Restriction of non-critical
water uses such as washing cars and watering lawns and gardens may be
required.
This advisory must be attached to all copies of the subject Certificate of On -
Site Systems Approval.

Dear On Site Services Engineer:
The southern lot line of Lot 4, Block 2, Seidler Subdivision No. 1 was not accurately
located prior to the construction of the septic system. The southwest corner of the
septic tank was placed 4' from the common property line with Lot 3. Placement of the
tank at this location will not affect the septic system on Lot 3 as it is much more than 10'
from this location. The tank was placed in accordance with Municipal requirements and
should remain watertight for many years into the future.
The subsurface soils in the area are good for the absorption of septic effluent and very
little or no migration to the south is expected. We hereby request a waiver be issued
allowing the new septic tank to be 4' from the south property line.

Absorption Trench to Slope Waiver
Dear Onsite Services Engineer:

The end of the primary and alternate absorption trenches proposed for Lot 4,
Block 2, Seidler Subdivision No. 1 is located 45' and 27' from a slope in excess of 25%.
We are therefore applying for a waiver allowing placement of the absorption trenches at
the designed location.
Subsurface soils in the area of the absorption trenches are porous silty sand (SM) with
gravel. No migration of effluent is expected toward the slope. A shallow lift of fill will be
placed atop the trenches. The imaginary 25% slope when extended downward from
2.5' above the distribution lines will not daylight less than 50' from the primary trench or
30' from the alternate trench. We therefore recommend a waiver be issued allowing
placement of the primary and alternate absorption trenches at 45' and 27' from the
edge of the slope greater than 25%.
