3. The wastewater code requires inspections during the installation. The engineer must notify the Development Services
Department at least 2 hours prior to each inspection. Provide notification by calling (907) 343-7904 (24 hours).
4. From October 15 to April 15, a subsurface soil absorption system under construction during freezing weather must either:
A. Open and Close on the same day.
B. Covered, sealed, and heated to prevent freezing.

Ref: Proposed Well and Septic System for Lakeridge Terrace S/D; Block 6, Lot 6
To whom it may concern:
The proposed 4 bedroom house is to be served by a private well and septic system. Two
(2) test holes were excavated on the property and the proposed drainfields have been
designed around the 30 foot radii of these test holes. We are proposing that a 1500 gallon
S.T.E.P. tank and a mounded drainfield be installed. Comments regarding the design are
summarized as follows:
1. SOILS: See the attached soils log which show the soil classifications, groundwater
monitoring, and the percolation test results. The new drainfield will be installed within the
30 foot radius of test hole #2. Based upon the test holes performed on adjacent properties,
we are assuming the spring groundwater reading of 3.5 feet below grade.
2. DRAINFIELD DESIGN: See attached design drawing for drainfield specifications.
3. SURFACE WATERS: No surface where found with 100 feet of the proposed septic
system during our site visits. In short, there are no concerns with surface water
encroaching upon the septic system.
4. TOPOGRAPHY: As can be seen on the attached design drawing, the topography is
generally flat and no slope greater than 25 percent exist within 50 feet of the proposed
drainfields.
We are unaware of any adverse impacts this installation would have on adjacent wells or
