Two (2) test holes were excavated on the property and the proposed drainfields have been designed around the 30 foot radii of these test holes. We are proposing that a 1500 gallon S.T.E.P. tank and a mounded drainfield be installed. Comments regarding the design are summarized as follows: 1. SOILS: See the attached soils log which show the soil classifications, groundwater monitoring, and the percolation test results. The new drainfield will be installed within the 30 foot radius of test hole #2. Based upon the test holes performed on adjacent properties, we are assuming the spring groundwater reading of 3.5 feet below grade. 2. DRAINFIELD DESIGN: See attached design drawing for drainfield specifications. 3. SURFACE WATERS: No surface where found with 100 feet of the proposed septic system during our site visits. In short, there are no concerns with surface water encroaching upon the septic system. 4. TOPOGRAPHY: As can be seen on the attached design drawing, the topography is generally flat and no slope greater than 25 percent exist within 50 feet of the proposed drainfields.
