The subject property has some rather involved discrepancies in
water supply and sewage disposal.
The discrepancies and possible corrective reasures are listed
bel ewa
1. The well casinq must be extended twelve inches above the
ground and the pit filled with soil.
2< At this point it appears an entire now sewer system will
have to be instalied. The installation will Mace part
of the sewer system on Let 1 and the remainder on Lot 2#
The size of the existing system is unknown and therefore its
adequacy is questionable.
Since the well water goa'lity is satisfactory and the residence has a
septic took and absorption system which has boors working satlsfoctory
for the past nine manths* this Department would grant temporary
approval of the subject facilities if funds are escrowed in
sufficient amcuot to upgrade the well and replace the sewer system
by dame 1, 1976. Replacement of the sewer system should have funds
oscrowad for a $04gallon Multi -Flo tank installation and on

absorption tronch iii` 'long with 10' of screened gravel. As mentioned
earlier, these correctivo measures will overlap onto Lot 1. The area
could be difficult to excavate and care should be exercised in
oscrowting sufficient funds to cover all asstv

The health inspection an the subJeect property revealed the following
information;
1. The well location was unknown.
2. The surer system was installed prior to 1968 and therefore
no record exists of its design. Since no records exist,
this Department is roquestieq the septic tank, be exposed
for inspection and an absorption test roan on the existine*
cesspool. The sower design Information should be gathered
after first checking protective distances from the well.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
The 28 Ft Travel Trailer sitting on this property belongs to
a Valdez, Alaska resident. It is definitely being removed
this weekend, December 20, 1975.
No one is living in it, nor has anyone lived in it. The
Travel Trailer is totally frozen, and severely damaged, and
is to be removed this weekend.
