We propose to install one deep trench and 1250-gallon tank to serve the existing 2-bedroom residence. The design is based on the recent test hole conducted on April 8, 2020. No groundwater was observed at test hole excavation or monitoring. The slopes are moderate at 3-8% at the proposed upgrade location. The lot and area are served by private water. We, therefore, request a lot line waiver be issued allowing this system within 10' of the lot line. The southern lot line abuts a 40' Municipal Right of Way which may never be developed. In addition, the system is more than 100' from any wells located in the area and does not conflict with other septic systems. Placement of the absorption trench in this area will have no impact on the surface drainage in the area nor does it conflict with any utility easements. The proposed septic system is located in a relatively fiat area where ponding will not occur. Soils encountered in the testhole revealed gravelly soils with no groundwater encountered. A shallow wide trench system should function adequately on this lot. If the system is constructed in accordance with the attached design the following statements can be made: The system, if constructed as designed, will have no adverse impact on the wells currently in use or those to be constructed in the future.
