The attached site plan identifies the location of the home and existing well, as well as the new septic location. No conflicts exist between this proposed system and any other well or septic system, whether on this lot or adjacent lots. The ground surface on the lot slopes fairly uniformly from the front of the lot toward the back, at between 20-25% slopes. Near the back where the septic system will be located is slightly flatter, under 25%. There are no slopes greater than 25% within 50 feet downslope of either the primary or alternate site. Contours are shown on the site plan showing the grade and direction of flow. Stormwater drainage will not impact this septic system. The new trench will be constructed parallel to the slope as much as possible. Wells on this and adjacent lots are shown. The new system will be a minimum of 100' from all wells and surface water, and more than 5' away from the septic tank. Due to the nature of the proposed home sale, we have designed the system using the test hole information on this lot and adjacent lots, including across the street. We have then specified that a new test hole will be dug to confirm consistency of the soils and groundwater levels. We have noted the test holes that we found in the following table. The most conservative perk rate that we found was 30 min/in, and the highest groundwater was 5.5' in October. Our design is based on those criteria.
