Dear On Site Services Engineer:
The septic system placed on Lot 60A to serve the shop was completed without a permit. The
system has recently been inspected and found to comply with Municipal Code with the exception
that the southern end is slightly more than 3' from the property line. A waiver is required to
allow the trench to remain in its current location.
The percolation rate of the underlying soil is 1.8 minutes per inch. Effluent absorption is
expected to be downward with little or no migration in a horizontal direction. The trench is
located more than 100' from all wells in the area. Placement of the system at the location
described above will have no adverse impact on the well or septic system on this or adjacent lots.
We hereby request a lot line waiver be issued.

Septic System Upgrade
Design Narrative
The owner of the 3-bedroom home would like to replace the existing septic system.
The existing septic tank will be abandoned in accordance with the code and the existing drainfield will be
connected to the new septic system through a diverter valve.
The septic system upgrade will use an Infiltrator IM-1060 septic tank and a Wide drainfield. As an upgrade
to the existing approved septic system with no increase in the number of bedrooms, the design is not
required to show a replacement disposal site. The drainfield design is shown on the design drawing(s).
The drainfield is located where there used to be two sheds and the slope is flat. Beyond this area the
ground slopes between 0.5%to 1.0%.
Adjacent properties, wells and wastewater disposal systems will not be impacted if the septic system
upgrade is constructed as designed.
Anticipated drainage flowing onto or off of the subject property is not likely to adversely affect the
proposed wastewater disposal system.
No waivers are required for the proposed design. \
